Note 1: Yes, the Stargate movie was released in 1994. However, the series states that Daniel Jackson was only on Abydos for a year. The series starts in 1997, therefore, the original Abydos mission was in 1996.
Note 2: Heliopolis (otherwise known as Ernest's Planet) was discovered, but it is not possible to travel there via the
Stargate anymore.
Note 3: The Aschen were encountered earlier in the series, but it is not until the Season 4 episode '2001' that the Aschen are
remembered by the characters in the show.
