| Requirements These are the requirements for players who wish to apply for the Stargate Academy RPG. Those who cannot fulfil the following, please don't apply. Some of these may seem harsh, but they are all easily reachable. 1. Maturity - Maturity is paramount for this game. That doesn't mean to say that it's serious all the time, but there needs to be maturity in the game's players so that things can run smoothly and issues can be dealt with like adults. 2. Sense of humour - This doesn't constitute irresponsible behaviour, just means that you're willing to take things with a grain of salt, be relatively laid-back and able to get along with others. 3. Writing ability - This game is all about writing, therefore a moderate writing ability is a MUST. Proper grammar and spelling is required, as is a strong hold on the English language. That isn't to say that you need to be the next Isaac Asimov...not at all, but the need to string basic, understandable sentences is there. 4. Posting Requirements - You must be able to post AT LEAST once a week - a substantial post too. 5. Knowledge - A basic knowledge of Stargate SG-1 (the SERIES, not the movie) is expected. This is non-negotiable. 6. Access - Access to a working email address and a Yahoo ID (available at http://groups.yahoo.com) is necessary as the game is played a through Yahoo! Groups mailing list. 7. Understanding - You must understand that in this game, there is likely to be a fair bit of violence and possibly adult themes (suitable for ages 17 and over). This is most important. |
