Background / Personal
Background: Gabriel is the youngest of four children born to Michael Lockton and Angela Naylor.  His father was a pilot in the USAF stationed in Lakenheath, UK when he fell in love with Angela.  She was four months pregnant when they married.

Their marriage was fine until just after Gabriel was born and Michael was transferred to Scott AFB in the States.  After the family's first winter in the Midwest, Gabriel's mum packed up the kids and moved back to Mildenhall to stay with her parents. 

His parents divorced shortly after that but remained good friends.  They shared custody of their children, each having them for 6 months out of the year. 

Gabriel grew up in both America and the UK, loving each country, despite the differences.  Once while with his father, he witnessed a girl fall into the neighbour's pool.  Her father was a doctor at the base hospital and started CPR immediately and saved the girl's life.  From that moment on he wanted to become a doctor.

When the Stargate Academy was first announced, Gabe had his doubts that he would ever be apart of something so important.  After his second year of Medical school he applied to the program.  He was accepted straight away, but his grandmother in England fell sick and he declined. 

A month after his grandmother had pasted he received a letter informing him that an opportunity had risen for him to go to the Academy again.  He quickly accepted, told his family and left for Colorado Springs.
Psychological Profile: Gabriel is a very outgoing, fun loving young man.  He gives an air of self-confidence but tends to doubt himself.  He is surprisingly stable given his family history of divorce and bouncing back and forth between two continents.  Mr. Lockton seems mature for being the youngest of his family.  Gabriel has a strong sense of values that play a strong part in his life. He will himself to be a very important addition to the program in the future.
