Background / Personal |
Background: |
Christie’s Anglo parents were on staff at the National University of Mexico when her mother fell pregnant. Born in August 1989 in Mexico city, Christie spent her formative years running riot on the campus. Home schooled by her parents, Christie never underwent the social conditioning one experiences in school. Exposure to the academic life and freedom of ideas, expression and such forth meant that by the time she was 15 and her father accepted a position at the University
of Houston, Christie was mature minded enough, and sufficiently advanced academically to begin her tertiary education. Her mother retired from lecturing and began a successful writing career.
Together with her boyfriend James she backpacked her way across Europe, until in Amsterdam she and James fell prey to a highly virulent strain of Tuberculosis. Due to Christie’s robust health and natural immunity, her exposure to antibiotics was limited, Brian however had been over exposed and the spontaneous mutation in the bacterial DNA produced a strain immune to all antibiotics.
Faced with the death of her beloved, Christie returned to the safety of
her parents and familiar surroundings. Hearing on the academic grapevine about a civilian/military academy, her father suggested to Christie that she apply. Interested in further study, and compelled by the Anthropological and Diplomatic strands this ‘Academy’ offered she approached the necessary agencies. |
Psychological
Profile: |
Highly intelligent and motivated, Christie makes for the perfect student, taking pleasure in new experiences and subject matter. Continually unsatisfied with her limited knowledge of her world, the drive for information sometimes turns her into a recluse. The death of
her significant other has greatly affected her willingness to expose herself to situations where her emotional boundaries may be breached. Incredibly upbeat and vivacious, Christie makes a conscious choice to be positive and disregard the negative aspects of her life. |
